About Blackline Marine Care

 We’re proud to kick off our ninth season serving Southern New England with Blackline Marine Care—a brand built on precision, craftsmanship, and an uncompromising standard of marine detailing.

Blackline Marine Care was founded by Zak Baxter, who began working hands-on in the Barnstable area, detailing boats one at a time. The photo shown captures those early days—Zak at 12 years old, bottom painting a 13’ Boston Whaler. There was no shortcut into this industry. The foundation was built through long days on the dock, learning the materials, understanding gelcoat behavior, and seeing firsthand what separates rushed work from properly executed results.

As demand grew, the company evolved into a structured, professional operation focused exclusively on marine surface care. Today, Blackline Marine Care provides mobile detailing, gelcoat correction, ceramic coating, and bottom paint services across Cape Cod, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and the South Shore through Plymouth and Boston.

Zak now studies at Babson College and applies business strategy and operational systems directly to the company—improving efficiency, refining process, and raising the standard each season.
